About The S.E. London

The South East London is a local media company dedicated to bringing events, news, and anything that’s worthwhile knowing to the residents of Southwark, Greenwich, and Lewisham.

Our main goal is be a source for news and community building for an area (the South East) that doesn’t get as much media attention as it deserves.

We started as a weekly newsletter for Blackheath, but have quickly grown to include Southwark, Greenwich, and Lewisham.

Here’s where we’re headed:

In 2026, we want to keep growing to include Bexley and Bromley so we can truly cover all of South East London.

We come from a video production background, and the ultimate goal is to feature a video podcast and mini-documentaries about the neighbourhood, and the people, organizations and businesses doing community-centered work.

Thanks for being on this journey with us!

Curious who's behind The S.E. London?

My name's Anton, and this is my headshot from a book I published last year. (There were 156 photos taken, this is the only one I'm remotely comfortable with people seeing.)

I’m a screenwriter, author, and producer, and I moved to Blackheath last year. (Gasp! He's not from here!) I'm originally from New York City. (Clutched pearls… and he's an American!)
But my wife, a proud Londoner, and I moved from the States last year and settled in South East London. What started as me trying to get to know my neighbourhood and everything in it, turned into this local media organization.

I started to see that South East London lacked much dedicated media, and as I was learning more about where I lived, I wanted to share it with others.
