New Year’s Eve can be an amazing time. But it can also be an overpriced, overcrowded mess.
Because of that, for anyone still looking for something to do tonight, we’ve put together a list of FREE celebrations in the neighbourhood (and one that costs £5 😬), so you can drink, be merry, and regret your decisions WITHOUT spending a fortune.

🎆 FREE EVENTS
DJ party in Woolwich. Good music, multiple bars, a DJ and a countdown. This event is first come, first serve, so check out when they open if you want to be guaranteed entry.
A classy pub celebration in Kidbrooke. Tunes, cocktails and bubbly. There is no astronomical entry fee, but bookings are required.
An acoustic set followed by a DJ until 2am in Greenwich. Now, about this pub celebration. It isn’t free, but it is ONLY £5, and that ain’t bad at all. Get your tickets here.
Pub party in Bromley. Okay, it’s not in Lewisham, Greenwich, or Southwark, but at least it’s not heading into the melee of central London. Bookings are required for the party at The Artful Duke… love that name.

🧒 FREE NYE EVENT FOR KIDS
Countdown to 12…pm! It’s a dance party for kids and families at the Clore Ballroom in the Southbank Centre. And the kiddos don’t need to stay up late to do the countdown. Find out entry times here.
