Happy Thursday, South East London!
As the editor of the S.E. London, I have to admit… sometimes it is a struggle finding great weekend things to do.
Well, this was NOT one of those times. The hits just kept coming!
I know it’s cold and rainy and it’s hard to get yourself to go outside. BUT remember, Burns Night is coming up, and that means there will be whiskey everywhere this weekend.
In fact, scroll down to Saturday for an amazing Burns Night celebration. And head to the food section for tons of Burns Night options.
Enjoy. See you next week!

GREENWICH
Greenwich is getting a new Superloop bus
The SL11 will run between Abbey Wood and North Greenwich starting Saturday, and rides are FREE for the first week.
Now, this isn’t an entirely new route. The SL11 is replacing the 472, but with faster service aiming to speed up connections to the Elizabeth line, the DLR and the tube. In fact, the bus is supposed to run every six minutes.
Unfortunately, as this acts as an express service, some stops that were on the 472 route won’t be on the SL11.
LEWISHAM
Goldsmiths University is coming to Catford
The university’s Fine Art and Design department will be taking over Lewisham’s Old Town Hall as its new campus by 2027.
This is a really exciting development for Catford’s ongoing regeneration plans, including affordable housing and new commercial space.
Goldsmiths is expected to sign a 10-year lease.

“South East London has been neglected in terms of transportation links. A bus into the west end from Lee station would also be a very welcome addition!”
